Summary:
Col. John Bradstreet s Aug. 31, 1764, draft instructions regarding the reoccupation of Fort Michilimackinac to Capt. William Howard of the 17th Regiment of Foot. Bradstreet orders a combined force of regulars, militia, and artillery to approach Michilimackinac undetected, to ready the fort for defense, and to return to Detroit with the fort s inhabitants.
