Summary:
December 6, 1746, letter from Massachusetts Bay governor William Shirley informing New Hampshire governor Benning Wentworth that with the advice of the Massachusetts Council and in light of the disposition of the Iroquois to join the English, he has ordered Massachusetts troops to proceed to Saratoga, N.Y., for an assault on Crown Point. Shirley asks Wentworth to order his forces to proceed to Saratoga as well.
