Summary:
In this case study, we present considerations required for analysis of survey data on patient experience merged with clinical/psychosocial outcomes data collected during routine care of patients. We discuss the need for special statistical methods for analysis of survey data or studies for which data collection or retrieval is based on some random sampling of a subset of the population under study. Furthermore, we highlight some challenges encountered and additional considerations that should be taken when analyzing survey data.
