- Summary:
- SPOT ON MOZART is a lavishly designed artist's book documenting the direction, implementation and results of an interdisciplinary research project based at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. Taking Mozart's works as a starting point, international teams worked out new forms of visualizing and making classical music accessible for the present. The spectrum of results, all of which are presented in the volume, ranges from short films to music videos, from media art to experimental workshop formats. SPOT ON MOZART is a European best practice example for the innovative use of digital technologies in artistic research and a highly reflective approach to cultural heritage. Contributions by renowned authors round off the volume and open up perspectives for the further applicability of the insights gained. (Verlagsangaben)
