- Summary:
- Officially, the Rif War was fought from 1920 to 1926 to crush the rebellion towards independence led by AbdelKrim in a remote area of Morocco. This war involved hundreds of thousands of men and considerable resources. The Rif War not only called into question the colonial system, but it also marked the place where modern savagery developed.
