Summary:
From the Introduction: The purpose of this study has been to produce an estimate of the potential level of output in the Canadian economy for the period 1946 to 1963 and to project the growth of potential output to 1970. The estimates contained in this study are intended to provide: (1) an assessment of the past performance of the economy in relation to potential; (2) a measure of the gap between present and potential levels of output; and (3) an indication of the growth in output, employment and productivity that will be required to achieve potential by 1970.
