- Set during the 1954 American-led military coup to overthrow Guatemalan president Jacobo Arbenz, this coming-of-age tale follows a young boy, Neto (Oscar Javier Almengor), who dreams of one day flying in a hot air balloon. After the U.S. military arrives in the country, he watches as his family and friends are negatively affected. First, his father loses his job, and then the whole family is forced to leave the city, which culminates in the death of one of their own.
