Summary:

The 5th Central European Symposium on Building Physics 2022 was organized jointly by the Institute of Construction and Architecture of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava and the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The meetings of CESBP have been held periodically every three years since 2010. The symposium includes invited lectures, oral presentations, and discussions on specialized topics. The objective of the symposium is to discuss the results of academic and industrial research and exchange invaluable experiences in the field of building physics. Specific topical areas include heat and mass transfer, building materials and components, building envelope systems, building's energy performance, indoor climate and human comfort, hygrothermal performance/moisture, air flow and pollutants transport, daylight and illumination engineering, building and room acoustics, urban physics, and environmental impact and life-cycle assessment.
