Summary:
Walead Beshty is a conceptual artist working across a variety of mediums who has exhibited his work at some of the world's most renowned institutions. Though visually abstract, Beshty uses the term 'concrete' to emphasise that his artwork is not alienated from life. The publication explores the many exhibitions that Walead Beshty has presented in collaboration with Thomas Dane Gallery in London, Turin and Naples and reflects on the artist's motivations behind each project. This unique monograph is itself an extension of Beshty's artistic practice. Walead Beshty takes a semiotic approach to bookmaking with contributions from the book's publisher Francis Atterbury, designer Billie Temple and Thomas Dane partner Francois Chantala. These feature alongside an essay by leading professor of Juridical Sociology Carlo De Rita.--publisher's website.
