- Summary:
- The Instituto Casa Roberto Marinho (ICRM), which comprises the art collection of the founder of Grupo Globo, celebrates in 2023 five years of activities. Inaugurated on April 30, 2018, the institute operates in the house where Roberto Marinho lived for more than 50 years, and where his children were born. The Roberto Marinho art collection is today a reference in modernism and abstractionism in the country. The 5th anniversary program included the inauguration of three new exhibitions. On the same date (04/28), the public opening of "Gesto em suspensão" (Gesture in suspension), an individual show around the artistic production of Maria Leontina (1917-1984), an exponent of Brazilian modernism; "A criação do artista popular" (The creation of the popular artist), with pieces from the set assembled by the essayist, poet, museologist, art historian and anthropologist Lélia Coelho Frota (1938-2010); and "Coleção no seu tempo" (The collection in its time), with works from the institute's collection.
