Summary:
The authors give life again to the voice of noted gallerist Montserrat Pecanins -wife of the artist Brian Nissen for 56 years-, to relate her experiences in the first person and know the episodes of the fundamental character of the cultural life of the second half of the 20th century in Mexico, who died at the age of 92, on October 21, 2021. With her sisters, the twins Ana María and Teresa, "Las Pecas", as they would be known among relatives and artists, founded in 1963 the Pecanins Gallery, a space that resignified the art scene in Mexico, embracing artists such as José Luis Cuevas, Helen Escobedo, Manuel Felguérez, Rodolfo Nieto, Gabriel Macotela, Alberto Gironella and Kazuya Sakai, far from the traditional Mexican art school.
