- This publication brings together the research of the artist Dulce Chacón (Mexico City, 1976) on a set of plants used to treat different illnesses: the evil eye, bad air, shame and losing one's soul. Based on drawing and assembly, this publication arises from an exploration of historical, scientific and anthropological sources that account for the uses and functions of the plant kingdom based on similarities, hybridizations or contemporary cultural palimpsests. The book includes a textual collaboration by Antonio Monroy, who reviews different approaches to the use of herbalism as an agent of healing and community."We think of the book as a place for the confluence of creators; a sequential space for collaboration and experimentation; a playful and inexhaustible universe where art and literature are in dialogue and intermingle based on the nature of the printed page."
