Summary:

The wide selection of works that constituted the exhibition, in addition to including the work of 40 artists and contemporary art collectives, was put in dialogue with 70 strategically chosen pieces from the historical collection of the Museo Nacional del Grabado. From the axes Post, Transmute, Radiate and Reactivate, transhistorical relationships were established from which to account for how graphic art expanded its modes of production and extended its circulation circuits, while investigating new modalities of print, to promote or accompany sociocultural changes. One objective of the exhibition was to offer in the present historical conjuncture a powerful revaluation of graphic cultures as platforms of collective imagination, based not only on their complex capacity to interweave art, politics and history, but also as unique technologies of doing with bodies, which insists on their interdependent condition by conveying critical discourses about reality.
