Summary:

This book is the result of the meeting between two initiatives: the invitation to Rita Ponce de León (Lima, 1982) to develop an editorial project and, on the other hand, a residency at Tumbes 204, a center for research on the movement in Peru. Hand in hand, Rita Ponce de León, Joelle Gruenberg, Carola Robles and Mariana De Los Ríos have developed an unnamed practice, a study in progress based on knowledge in the field of dance, movement and somatic education (field of study that uses the body in movement as a primary place of learning). A nameless practice is knowing through doing and with the key guideline: we are in a precarious balance, an asymmetrical body, looking for a new gesture, we inhabit forms to observe the detail of the changes. This folded paper object is like a sprout from the stem of what has been experienced, it is another way of thinking about the nature of what happened. Based on a series of drawings, texts and photographs, this publication invites the reader to join in doing, not only through their gaze, but with their entire body.
