- Summary:
- This book by Ana Gallardo, published by Metaninfas, tries out different ways of showing chronicles, stories, experiences, occurrences and random images of the Argentinian artist: "For some time now I have been displaying a work that contains the idea of a school of learning to grow old," she says on page 10 of the book; A book that is a graphic and textual work that uses the alphabet to organize a structure and a journey where it invites others and where it also exposes a way of life. It is an anti-catalogue, organized around subaltern knowledge, minor sensitivities, weak authorships, and links between different times and spaces. The relationships that shape it speak a language that is chaotic and loving, transformative and political. A possible way to age together. Metaninfas is an organization that links art and contemporary thought. Scaffolding, a mobile and modifiable structure, which facilitates the construction of curatorial, editorial, action, exhibition and circulation projects. As an organism it grows and reproduces artistic practices for the re-enchantment of the world. In 2008 Ana, together with her friends, imagined a place to live in old age; Today, in 2022, it is in the Parque de la Memoria where the School of Aging finds its space.
