- Notes:
- Collection of 73 assignats, or engraved promissory notes, issued by the French Revolutionary government between 1792 and 1796 (An I - An IV). Including four full, uncut sheets of notes (10-16 per sheet). Various sizes and formats. Of the four sheets, three were printed for the District of Loches, and show three different states of the notes. All three are printed on thick blue paper, but one sheet has been dyed pink on the blank verso. One sheet has been signed in manuscript by two different officials on each of the 16 notes, as marks of authenticity; and the last sheet has been printed on half of each recto/verso.
