Language Note:
In Ladino, Judeo-Arabic, and Hebrew; Haftarah written in Hebrew and with Aramaic Targum (f. 6r-8r, and f. 12r-16r, that text translated to Ladino as well); words in French ("Piut", f. 18v, autograph, and place on f. 34v-35r).
Summary:
Piyut book and customal for the Seventh and Eighth days of Passover, for use in Casablanca, Morocco, including texts of the Haftarah for both days (Seventh day of Passover, where II Samuel XXII was recited with the Targum, on f. 6r-8r, and on the Eighth day of Passover, where Isaiah X:32-XII:4 was recited with Targum, and a Ladino adaptation) and piyutim on each theme (Song of David, and the prophecy of Sennacherib, respectively). Piyutim include שמע בני מוסר אביך חג המצות תעשה לך, by Jacob ibn Ẓur (f. 18r), מר לי מר לי מר לגדודיך מר לי מר (f. 21r), and אשאל אל כביר יורת מתי (f. 18v). Written in a Solitreo cursive script, in different hands and inks; disbound, with ink and water stains.
