Summary:
The current musical landscape is inconceivable without electronic instruments, the interference of technology in practically all human activity is undeniable, and the arts are no exception. The use of microphones, computers, synthesizers, amplifiers, and other electronic equipment in music production is so common that it does not require elaborate justifications. This paper presents a chronology of those who developed and built electric machines for musical use, covering a period from the first devices manufactured in the late 1800s to the digital synthesizers manufactured on a large scale from 1980 onwards. The work maintains a simple language in the technical description of its operation and has been illustrated with diagrams and photographs where possible.. "Unbeknownst to me, in 1984 I began to collect some of the materials contained here and which were used for the project "El ámbito Sonoro", A series of concerts, lectures and exhibition of electronic instruments, photos and information about the first sound experimentation studios." (HKB Translation) --Page 9.
