- This series, although mainly of a personal nature, contains some interesting accounts of the places he visited, the courts at which he was presented, and some of the people he met. Letter 12 gives details of the German theatre and ballet (8th April 1755). Letter 13 gives details of his visits to the court at Hanover, dining with the King and Princes of Hesse, and attendance at Royal ball and masquerade, etc., - description of town (27th June 1755). Letter 14. Description of Mainz, Coblenz and Bonn, etc.
