Summary:
A large-scale project carried out with twenty international artists and researchers around Fordlândia - a town built from 1928 by Henry Ford in the Amazon in order to intensively exploit the rubber tree necessary for the manufacture of tires, which has become a small village in the middle of an industrial heritage with uncertain status - questioning the failure and consequences of the modern Western and colonial project of Fordism in the current political, economic and environmental context. -- Translation of vendor summary.
Notes:
Includes bibliographical references (pages 282-283).
Supplementary folded sheet includes an aerial view of Fordlândia.
