- Summary:
- Moises, a ten-year-old immigrant from Mexico who speaks no English, struggles to fit in at his new school in the U.S. Using untrained child actors from public schools in the San Francisco Bay Area, 'Immersion' plunges its audience into the visceral experience of a child who cannot understand his teacher. 'English-only' initiatives are becoming increasingly popular in states across the U.S. But can they meet the needs of kids like Moises? 'Immersion' will get you thinking about immigration and education in a way you might not have before.
