En cuanto al cine, los años setenta es una decada compleja para el discurso de la historia. De hecho, normalmente se acopla o bien a la etapa de los Nuevos Cines o a la denostada etapa del cine de los ochenta. El recorrido que se propone en estas páíginas tiene un doble objetivo. Por un lado, pretende contribuir a perfeccionar la reconstrucción de la historia del cine (global) en los años setenta ligándola a un caso muy concreto, el del Estado español, a menudo considerado marginal, y por el otro, aspira a reencuadrar la forma en la que se tiende a conceptualizar la relación entre las películas y la hisítoria en este país. La amííbición es que el lector encuentre en estas páginas no solo una reconsideración de lo que ocurre con la producción cinematográfica en España en la decada de los setenta y su relevancia para comprender que ocurre en el marco global, sino tambien una manera diferente de pensar el tardofranquismo y la Transición.

As for cinema, the seventies are a complex decade for the discourse of history. In fact, it is normally coupled either with the New Cinemas stage or with the reviled eighties cinema stage. The route proposed in these pages has a double objective. On the one hand, it aims to contribute to perfecting the reconstruction of the history of (global) cinema in the seventies by linking it to a very specific case, that of the Spanish State, often considered marginal, and on the other, it aspires to reframe the way in which which tends to conceptualize the relationship between films and history in this country. The ambition is that the reader finds in these pages not only a reconsideration of what happens with film production in Spain in the seventies and its relevance to understanding what is happening in the global framework, but also a different way of thinking about the late Francoism and the Transition.
