Then, the second section reviews the 100 years of Tutankhamun research--what was learned from his mummy, was he deformed, was he a warrior? Research projects examining his armor, chariots, jewelry, even the kind of wine he liked, are presented. Also discussed is his role in the greatest revolution in ancient Egyptian history--monotheism. The third and last section discusses Tutankhamun's legacy--How the discovery of his tomb contributed to Egypt's throwing off colonial rule and their quest for self-rule. Also discussed are how the tomb's discovery contributed to changes in how tombs are excavated and changes in laws controlling the antiquities trade.
