Summary:
A loose-leaf collection of 17 texts as well as several unconnected leaves. The onecomplete work (14) is Waṣīyat Rasūl Allāh ʻan ʻAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib. The longest work(1) is portions of the Maqāmāt of al-Ḥarīrī. Also included are portions of a copy ofthe Qurʼān (7, 15), a gloss on portions of the Qurʼān (4), a partial commentary onAbū Madyan's Qaṣīdat al-jawhar (5), another on Ibn Abī Zayd al-Qayrawānī'sRisālah (6), poems with commentary (2, 3, 11) and several other unidentifiedcommentaries and texts on customs and practice (8-10, 12-13, 16-17), all of whichare incomplete. Page size, layouts, and hands differ throughout the collection.

Foliation: No foliation; catchwords on some leaves, lower left verso.
Layout: Page size varies as do number of lines, between 14-22 long lines.
Script: Written in West African maghribī in black ink; pointed; some texts vocalized.
Decoration: Rubrications in red.
Binding: Loose leaf; one board made of two pieces of leather, blind tooled withcentral square with corner extensions and floral stamps, blind-tooled frame; theother board is one piece of plain, untooled leather.
Origin: The copy is undated, produced in the 19th century based on the paper; two texts were copied by ʻUmar ibn Ibrāhīm ibn ʻUmar (end of item 14, end of item 17).
