- Summary:
- Set in Germany in the 1950s, an East German army officer trained in Tango and wooing women attempts to seduce a secretary in the West German defense ministry in order to obtain a secret weapon. Complications arise due to the secretary's love interest in her boss in the ministry.
- "Eine Satire im geteilten Deutschland der 1950er Jahre: Max Klett, Leutnant der Nationalen Volksarmee der DDR, wird im Tango-Tanzen ausgebildet. Als staatstragender Romeo soll er Elly Wackernagel, Sekretärin im BRD-Verteidigungsministerium, zur Liebe und dann zum Geheimnisverrat verführen. Das allerdings gestaltet sich schwierig, weil Elly bereits ein Verhältnis mit ihrem verheirateten Chef, dem Ministerialdirigenten Dinklage, unterhält. Paradoxerweise wird Max für Elly gerade dann attraktiv, als er seine Agentenexistenz gesteht. Elly fährt mit Dinklage in ein Manöver, um für Max eine Geheimwaffe zu stehlen, und die eh schon heikle Lage erfährt ihre Zuspitzung, als Dinklages Gattin den Schauplatz betritt"--Filmportal.de
