- In the Festschrift "Knowledge and Memory" notions knowledge and memory cores and memory correspond perfectly to the central focus of the religious and magical spells from the Late Period shaft tombs in Abusir. A subject that has always been close to the heart and mind of Ladislav Bareš. A collection of thirty-three papers, written by former students, numerous colleagues and friends, are hence devoted to themes closely aligned with Professor Bareš lifelong interest: the Memphite necropolis throughout the ages, and the Late Period (and beyond) throughout the whole of Egypt. Contributions are in English, French and German.
