Bhagavadgita. Complete Sanskrit text, preceded by a set of malamantras (f. IV.) and nine devotional stanzas (ff. 3-5v.). The adhyayas end as follows: I, f. 14; ii, f.27v.; iii, f. 35; iv, f. 42; v, f. 47v.; vi, f. 56; vii, f. 61; viii, f. 66v.; ix, f. 72v.; x, f. 80; xi, f. 91v.; xii, f. 95; xiii, f. 101; xiv, f. 105v.; xv, f. 109v.; xvi, f. 114; xvii, f. 118v.; xviii, ff. 132, 132v.The text is of the normal type, without important variants.Foliated on the verso. 7 lines to a page. Devanagari character. No name of scribe or date; perhaps early eighteenth century. Binding Indian.Inside the front cover is a note by Robert Boog Watson, Chaplain to the Highland Brigade, stating that the manuscript was 'taken at Kurraee Oct. 25, 1858, by the Malwa Field Force.& given me by Lieut. Shewell'.On f. iv are eight lines of Sanskrit devotional verse, very inaccurate and quite unconnected with the manuscript, bearing on the verso the word Ramagny-astaka.130 x 95 mm.
