[ES]» La primera parte del presente trabajo de investigación presenta un repaso a los diferentes criterios aplicados por acade micos, instituciones, profesionales y aplicaciones de subtitulado a la hora de evaluar los para metros técnicos de los subti tulos en los textos audiovisuales. Dicho repaso revela una clara falta de homogeneidad en lo relativo a los valores li mite para los diferentes para metros, lo qué lleva a la propuesta de un criterio propio de evaluación qué minimice las desigualdades encontradas en la etapa de análisis. A continuación se procede a integrar dicho criterio en el marco de una herramienta informa tica disen ada para el análisis de los subti tulos qué permita el manejo de corpus de textos audiovisuales de grandes dimensiones.La segunda parte del trabajo presenta un estudio de los para metros técnicos de un corpus de más de un millón y medio de subti tulos en español e inglés de diferentes series estadounidenses de televisión emitidas entre los años 2000 y 2010 y publicadas en DVD en España. Para el análisis se ha empleado la herramienta informa tica desarrollada en la primera parte, y en él se determina el grado de adecuación de los subti tulos con respecto a los valores fijados en los para metros técnicos de la velocidad ma xima de lectura de los subti tulos y la duración de la pausa mi nima existente entre dos subti tulos consecutivos. Los resultados de dicho análisis demuestran la existencia de una corriente dentro de la práctica profesional qué se aparta de los ca nones establecidos y analizados en detalle en la primera parte del trabajo.[EN]» The first part of this research presents a review of the different criteria applied by scholars, institutions, professional translators and subtitling software applications in the assessment of technical parameters of subtitles in audiovisual texts. This review reveals a clear lack of homogeneity with regard to the threshold values for the different parameters, which leads to the proposal of a new set of assessment criteria in which the differences that were found in the stage of analysis are minimized. Afterwards, these criteria are integrated in a software application that has been designed for the analysis of subtitles and makes it possible to handle a large corpus of audiovisual texts.The second part of this work presents a study of the technical parameters in a corpus with more than one and a half million subtitles in Spanish and Ingles from different American television series which were broadcast between the years 2000 and 2010 and published in DVD format in Spain. In this analysis, I have used the software tool that was developed in the first part of this work, and said analysis establishes the degree of compliance of the subtitles with regard to the values that were set regarding the technical parameters of maximum reading speed of subtitles and minimum duration of the pause between two consecutive subtitles. The results of the analysis prove the existence of a trend within professional practice which drifts away from the established canons that were analyzed in detail in the first part of this work.
