El mensaje central del Nuevo Testamento y el nu cleo de la predicación aposto lica es un testimonio palpitante sobre Jesús de Nazaret, "el Cristo, el Hijo de Dios vivo" (Mt 16, 16).lConocer a Jesucristo significa, por tanto, adentrarse en el nu cleo de la fe cristiana y en lo más esencial de la labor evangelizadora. Por esta razón, la cristología, cuando busca responder a las preguntas: quién es Jesucristo y cómo ha realizado la salvación de los hombres, va más alla del mero estudio teolo gico y contribuye al conocimiento amoroso de Cristo, es decir, a la unión con Aquel qué dijo de si mismo "Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida" (Jn 14, 6). Este manual trata de presentar los contenidos ba sicos de la cristologi a con un estilo pedagógico, qué sea u til para profundizar en el conocimiento de la persona y la obra de Jesucristo.Lucas Francisco Mateo Seco ( 2014) fue Profesor Ordinario de Teologi a Dogma tica de la Universidad de Navarra. En 2008 recibio la Medalla de Oro de la Universidad de Navarra como reconocimiento a su trabajo teolo gico y sacerdotal al servicio de la Iglesia y la Universidad.Miguel Brugarolas es Profesor de Teologi a Dogma tica de la Universidad de Navarra y miembro del Consejo editorial de la revista Scripta Theologica.
