Summary:
For the first time in the province of San Juan and Argentina, works by great masters of engraving are presented. Curated by Astrid Maulhardt, the exhibition comprises more than 170 pieces and is organized in two exhibition nuclei. The first nucleus brings together European engravings by Albrecht Dürer, Cornelius Cort, Rembrandt, Aegidius Sadeler II, Martin Schongauer, Anton van Dyck and Peter Paul Rubens, from the holdings of an important private collection in Buenos Aires. The second nucleus is a tribute to the artist Victor Delhez (Antwerp, 1902- Mendoza, Argentina, 1985), for the 120th anniversary of his birth in Belgium. He was best known for his woodcut engravings.
