What are they using them for? Sixty librarians from public libraries across the United States took part in the survey and data is broken out by age and gender and general work title of the librarian, and the budget size and population service area of the participating libraries. Just a few of the study's many findings are that:The percentage of total use of search engines accounted for by the use of the Google search engine was a mean 81.12 percent, the median was 90 percent, and the range was 5 to 100 percent. . Public librarians between the ages of 30 and 39 use Google Photos most often, a 42.86 percent plurality use Google Photos often and 14.29 percent more use it very often.Of the entire sample, 41.67 percent never really use Google Drive, 11.67 percent seldom use it, 10 percent sometimes use it, 6.67 percent often use it, and 30 percent use Google Drive very often.
