Growing up during the Second World War, Mike Reynolds became so interested in soldiering that he decided to make the Army his life. Joining as a National Serviceman, to see if he would really like being a soldier, he made the decision to become a professional and was commissioned into The Queen's Royal Regiment. He saw action and was wounded severely in the Korean War but recovered and eventually rose to command an infantry battalion.
