Summary:

In an environment of violence, marginalization and racial discrimination, such asoen finds in the favela shanty-towns of Rio de Janeiro, many women still manage to create a time and a space to construct their personal identities and a sense of their own beauty. Marcella, Thuany and Nagila are three young girls who deal with the difficulties of their social reality in a distinctively beautiful way.
