- Summary:
- This is the story of a Limbu family. A father loves to play the traditional Chyabrung drum in village ceremonies, his young son struggles with school, his wife works hard at home. When he loses his beloved drum, the father needs a tree trunk and leather to make a new one. But this brings him into conflict with laws about forests and the killing of cows. The film combines humor and tenderness with a serious look at the consequences of imposing external value systems on indigenous peoples.
