- Summary:
- Thailand is a unique Asian country in that it was never colonized. This fact helps explain why Thai people have retained so much of their cultural traditions. And in this program we get the rare chance to explore this wonderful Asian culture, meet their gracious people, and discover why Bangkok, Thailand's capital and largest city, has been nicknamed the "City of Angels." We learn that most Thais are Buddhist and visit many revered places, such as the Grand Palace, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Temple of Dawn and the Marble Temple; also we travel to Bangkok's floating markets; then experience shopping and dining in its famous Night Market.
