- Summary:
- Food writer Stefan Gates takes a culinary tour around some of the world's harshest places. He visits Venezuela, in the midst of a socialist revolution led by radical president Hugo Chavez. Stefan arrives the day after Chavez is re-elected and finds a country split down the middle, locked in a battle between rich and poor. During the trip Stefan cooks in the slums' soups kitchens, investigates food shortages in subsidised shops, and meets one of the richest men in the country.
