- Summary:
- Whether it be for flesh and vice, power and glory, pleasure and indulgence, or materialism and consumerism, temptation surrounds us all. This series introduces us to the characters who have succumbed, the tempters who spend their lives trying to trip us up and the abstainers who manage to avoid being manipulated. There are various experiments in honesty. A champagne bottle is left in a telephone box. It seems to belong to nobody--will anyone pick it up? A student, a priest, a journalist and a rock musician are individually put in a room that is groaning with goodies that have supposedly been left over from a film shoot. Which ones will weaken? The results are surprising. Temptation is everywhere--advertisers try to capitalise on it, religions try to dissuade us from it--but then nobody's perfect (see also The Lying Game).
