- Summary:
- Located in southeastern Africa, Malawi is called 'the warm heart of Africa,' which is no exaggeration; it is a nature lover's dream-come-true. In this program, from the moment the plane touches down, you are completely surrounded by the most amazing wildlife on earth. You see rare species of fish found only in Lake Malawi while scuba diving or sailing its deep blue waters. You take a river safari to see crocodiles sunning on the riverbanks and half-submerged hippos; then you go on a 'game drive' in Liwonde National Park to watch elephants, baboons and hundreds of wild birds. You are also shown basic aspects of African culture: the art of mask making, to express religious and personal beliefs, the traditional dances to native drum beats, and the art of bartering in the marketplace.
