- Summary:
- Reflecting on the value of life in the modern world and the ever-widening generation gap, The Loss highlights the plight of a lonely old man, whose wife has passed away, and whose home is suddenly robbed by a gang of youngsters. Succeeding in chasing them away, the old man catches one young man and throughout the lonely night, the youth is offered all the man's possessions if he can kill him. The night becomes a long trial of past memories and the young man suddenly realises that he is not the centre of the world.
