Summary:
Over the last several years, a number of landmark mindful exercise trials have been published. Some of the outcomes in these trials form much of the psychobiological basis for incorporating mindful exercise into primary and secondary prevention programs. Mind-Body Exercise Research Review: Circa 2009 reviews 8-10 studies published recently involving mind-body exercise, including yoga, qigong, tai chi, and pilates among other forms. Featuring a breakout session at the 2009 ACSM Health & Fitness Summit, the video details the practical application of each study's outcomes, relative to chronic disease prevention and management, in addition to program development.
