- Summary:
- Story of every family has lots of contexts which are so familiar and simple: on a bus trip, in a warehouse, a living room, a floating houseboat, an old bookshop and a factory. Set against these backgrounds, audiences as well as the characters listen to broadcast radio and television programs. If considering carefully, Story of every family is a documentary. It's not difficult to see that it is good enough to make viewers think about and comment on society through the stories on radio and by observing the reaction of the characters. However, Story of every family is notably also a film with distinctive experimental traits. It is consistent in terms of the idea, setting, editing, expressing in image structure. Simultaneously it evokes interesting resemblances with the visual -- textual juxtaposition game.
