- Summary:
- Shanghai was a 'treaty port' forcibly opened up to the West in the nineteenth century, many colonial architecture can still be seen along the tree-lined Hengshan Road or the waterfront known as the Bund. There are a lot of exciting attractions in Shanghai: mouth-watering food streets, trendy nightspots to see and be seen at, and delicacies not found anywhere else, such as soup-filled dumplings and wine-marinated dumplings. And the new landmark, Xin Tian Di, a huge new development of shops and restaurants that marks the hub for leisure activities in the city.
