- This video looks at the choreography, costuming, and music that characterized the social dances of the Medieval period. It presents a historical introduction to the era and covers such topics as limb positioning, manner, poses, bows, and partnering style, showing exercises for traditional movements, port de bras, steps, and spatial patterns. It presents examples of the Branle, Estampie, and Farandole.
