- Summary:
- Paradise Hotel is small rural bar with only one room. When a young, enigmatic woman named Riam arrives and asks for a room, she is told it is already taken. Riam says she has 12 children and is an opium trader. Chana, a young man staying in the only room, is equally mysterious. When Chana refuses to share his room with Riam, she must sleep on a couch in the bar area. Thus begins an unusual relationship between the two, who have to survive as husband and wife when mafia types invade the hotel. They have been tipped off that Chana may be connected to a large money delivery that will be coming to the hotel. Chana and Riam go along with the bandits' assumption that they are married and are thrown together in a room. Affections quickly unfold when Chana comes to Riam's rescue as one of the bandits attacks her. The two plot a way out, but things go haywire as the bandits' own greed begins to trip them up.
