Summary:
This workshop explores the role of mirror neuron systems on neural development, the development of wellness as well as the onset of un-wellness. The role of talking therapies to effectively address presenting problems is guided by key principles of neural interaction that are vital for counsellors to bear in mind when working with clients. These principles are briefly discussed as well as the practical implications in terms of neural activation and changing unhelpful neural patterns that maintain dysfunctional behaviours.
