Summary:
Yitzhak Rabin: The first native-born Israeli leader, Yitzhak Rabin was born in Jerusalem in 1922 to an eastern European couple who were among the first wave of Jewish pioneers to settle in Palestine. With a political pedigree that included a stint as an underground commando resisting British rule in Palestine and commander of Israel's defense forces, Rabin was a true Israeli patriot. Carole King: Songwriting legend Carole King recently teamed up with musician James Taylor to relive some of their glory days as 70s musical icons. King was born in Brooklyn in 1942. While a student at Queens College, she met Neil Sedaka who wrote his hit song 'Oh Carol' in her honor. Her response, 'Oh Neil' may not be quite as well remembered today, but at this time she also met Gerry Goffin. Partners both professionally and personally, King and Goffin married in 1960 and had two daughters together. Jack Nicklaus: With 20 majors to his name and 165 tournament victories, there's never been a golfer like Jack Nicklaus. Sports Illustrated named him the individual male athlete of the century and he's been dubbed the 'Golfer of the Century' as well as "Golfer of the Millennium". Marlene Dietrich": 'The Legendary, Lovely Marlene...' This was Noel Coward's way to introducing his long-time friend to an adoring and star-studded audience at London's Cafe de Paris one night in June 1954 She was one of the greatest icons of the 20th century cinema who forged a whole new career as a cabaret singer. Paul Robeson: If Paul Robeson's glorious bass voice was his only claim to fame, he would still be considered one of the greatest talents of his generation. But the singer and actor also boasted a brilliant legal mind, spoke more than 20 languages, and was described as 'The greatest ever to trod the gridiron' when he played college football.
