- Summary:
- Located in the Moroccan Atlas Mountains, Zaiane is the name for both a region and an ancient tribe. These great and fierce Berbers have managed to perpetuate their equestrian traditions. Horses are bred for the Zaiane's stunning spectacles. At first all you can see is a frenzied dash of horses, accompanied by the piercing cries of the riders. Then the whole thing explodes in a blaze of gun-fire coming from the riders' famous "moukhahla", these rifles that are so highly prized by gun collectors. Mustapha has been chosen to take part in the next spectacle which will be held to honour a wedding. But his final goal is to become a moqqadem, its leader.
