Summary:
1974's main event occurred on August 9. Richard Milhouse Nixon became the first American President to resign after facing impeachment for his role in the Watergate Scandal. The scandal begins with the burglary of the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate complex in Washington, D.C. The subsequent investigation found that Nixon had known about the break-in from the beginning, as well as the cover-up, which is famously known simply as 'Watergate'.
