This 30 minute programme can be used to identify fifteen British birds most commonly found in the UK. Those included are; black-headed gull, blackbird, blue tit, carrion crow, chaffinch, great tit, greenfinch, house sparrow, magpie, pheasant, pied wagtail, robin, sparrow hawk, wood pigeon and starling. Voice-over is provided by ecologist and natural history presenter Mike Dilger, who talks us through key features of each of these birds. All footage in this film is from the RSPB archive. The film can be watched in its entirety or can be broken down into 15 segments, one for each bird.
