Summary:
California is known throughout the world as the home of the car, and images of motorways clogged with vehicles all belching fumes have contributed to its image as a major polluter. Despite this, California is at the forefront of developing non-polluting cars with hydrogen as the potential fuel of the future. Wind power is hailed by some as the clean energy of the future and California is leading in the development of this technology, with a number of large-scale wind farms in operation across the state. We see the largest wind turbines installed in the US and find out why this kind of clean energy is important for the future sustainability of California.
